To install IsSearch, download and run SetupIsSearch.exe. After restarting your computer launch IsSearch by clicking on icon Start->Search:
IsSearch Wizard allows changing some settings of Indexing Service. If Indexing Service was stopped, the Wizard will propose to run Indexing Service:

Afterwards you can tune the performance of Indexing Service:

If you choose Immediately Indexing Service will start indexing the files in selected folders immediately.
(The default folders selected for indexing are the root folders of the computer (C:\, D:\ for example) and My Documents folder. Thus the indexes will be created with maximum speed but the processor will be loaded more intensively.
- The Idle setting allows runing the indexing process while the computer is idle.
Indexing with default settings is a long and inefficient process. You can considerably reduce time of preparation to search by removing the root folders from the catalogue:

IsSearch allows selecting catalogs and folders to search (you can also indicate if the search should be done in a particular folder only, or in its subfolders as well):
Indexing Service automatically creates and updates indexes.
